How users are counted for billing

Dailybot charges per active user, per month. Inactive users are not billed.

Term Counts toward your bill?
Active user – has participated in a check-in, sent a kudo, used a command, or signed in to the web in the last 30 days Yes
Inactive user – in the org but no activity in the last 30 days No
Pending invite No (until they accept and become active)
Removed / deactivated user No (counted only during the billing period in which they were active)

Review who counts as active in Organization -> Members filtered by status. See Understanding active vs. inactive users and Moderating users on your bill.

Monthly vs annual billing

  • Monthly: charged at the start of each month, can change seat count any time.
  • Annual: charged once with a discount (typically ~20%) versus 12 months. Seats are committed for the year; you can add seats during the term (prorated) but cannot reduce until renewal.

If you commit annually and your team shrinks, the lower seat count applies at renewal, not mid-term.

What the trial includes

When you start a paid feature for the first time, Dailybot grants a trial period with paid-plan capabilities. The trial does not require a credit card. At the end:

  • You can convert to a paid plan (annual or monthly).
  • You can downgrade to Free – some data and configurations may be archived if they exceed Free limits, but they are not deleted; restoring the plan brings them back.

The conversion is always explicit – no surprise charges.

Edge cases

Note: List prices come from the public pricing page and can change. Your checkout screen or Enterprise order form overrides this table.

Note: “Active user” billing means directory size can exceed billable seats temporarily; see Understanding active vs. inactive users.

Note: Nonprofits, education, or partner programs may use different numbers – confirm with sales or support if you have a signed discount.
