Welcome to DailyBot! This guide will walk you through setting up your account, connecting your chat platform, and running your first async check-in. You'll be up and running in less than 5 minutes.

Step 1: Create your account

Head to app.dailybot.com/signup and create a free account. You can sign up with your email or use SSO with Google, Microsoft, or your existing identity provider.

Once you've signed up, you'll be taken to the DailyBot dashboard where you can manage all your settings, check-ins, and workflows.

Step 2: Connect your chat platform

DailyBot works inside the tools your team already uses every day. Connect one (or more) of the following platforms:

  • Slack — Install from the Slack App Directory and authorize DailyBot in your workspace
  • Microsoft Teams — Install from the Teams app store and grant the necessary permissions
  • Google Chat — Install from the Google Workspace Marketplace
  • Discord — Add the DailyBot bot to your server with a single click

Pro tip

You can connect multiple platforms simultaneously. DailyBot will sync data across all of them, so team members on different platforms can still participate in the same check-ins.

Step 3: Invite your team

Once connected, DailyBot automatically discovers members in your workspace. You can also invite specific people by going to Settings > Members in the dashboard.

Team members don't need to create separate DailyBot accounts — they interact with DailyBot directly in their chat platform.

Step 4: Create your first check-in

Now for the fun part! Navigate to Check-ins in the dashboard and click Create Check-in. Here's a quick setup:

  1. Name your check-in — e.g., "Daily Standup" or "Weekly Retro"
  2. Add questions — Start with the classic 3: What did you do yesterday? What are you doing today? Any blockers?
  3. Set the schedule — Choose days, time, and timezone
  4. Select participants — Pick channels or individual team members
  5. Enable AI summaries — Let DailyBot's AI generate a digest of all responses

That's it! DailyBot will start collecting responses from your team at the scheduled time. Responses are collected asynchronously — team members reply when it's convenient for them.
